A beautiful sunflower yellow, perfect for a summer's day scene. Sunflower Yellow is a slightly softer shade than Canary Yellow.
Rods can be used in torchworking and kilnforming, and add an exciting difference to glass work. Drawn from compatible Bullseye glass, each rod is approximately 42cm long and 4-6mm in diameter.
Contains:
Selenium, Sulphur
May react with:
Copper, Lead, Silver
Cold characteristics:
Consistent colour.
Working Notes:
Torch: This dense opalescent stays true to colour except when used in the smallest amounts. Keep it bright yellow by working with a neutral-to-oxidizing flame atmosphere. Can turn grey in reduction. We advise labelling all striking glasses.
Kiln: Lighter colour and greater opacity than in sheet glass form.
This style is not suitable for kilncasting because it can become incompatible when held at high temperatures for an extended period.
