Create a chalk drawing effect on your glass work with Glassline Chalks. We recommend using this chalk over tack-fused Glassline pen for a coloured charcoal look.
Glassline chalks work best on a slightly textured surface so the chalk has something to key to. They are at their best when used to draw on sandblasted glass, over tack fused Glassline pens and paper or on a rough surface created using powder frit (see tip below).
The chalks may be used on the top surface or bottom surface of glass and then layered for a dimensional look.
Compatible with most types of glass from float to CoE90 and CoE96.
Best fired to 815 degrees centigrade but may be fired higher or lower depending upon your desired results.
The chalk will not grip well to the glass unless the surface has been prepared. To create a rough surface for applying the chalk, sift a thin layer of Crystal Clear Powder (1401.08) over the glass and fire to 700C (no hold required). Then use like unfired glass.
