Elements:

The Hobbyfuser Gen4 Drop Out utilises the latest technology "infra-red" quartz heating elements, designed for high performance and effective insulation. This means your Hobbyfuser will make the crucial ramp from 700°C to 800°C in as little as 9 minutes, ensuring the glass doesn't get "over-worked" by being in the heat longer than is required. The elements are located in the lid for even heating, which also makes them easy to replace if required. The elements are switched off when the lid is opened by an automatic safety switch.

Lid:

The stainless steel lid is powder coated and oven baked, then lined out with press cut, non-ceramic fibre.  This eliminates the risk of brick dust particles dropping from the lid, making for a very clean firing environment. This design enables the Hobbyfuser Gen4 Drop Out to retain heat when needed but still release heat rapidly during the all-important cool-down period.

The opening and closing of the lid is a single finger operation, thanks to a pair of well designed stainless steel springs at the rear of the kiln. There are also two handles for left or right hand lifting and a special catch design to hold the lid closed.

In the centre of the lid is a vent hole which comes with a matching plug. This is positioned to the rear of the chamber to avoid particle contamination on the glass.

Base: 

The base section of the chamber is made from refractory brick and made in such a way that the top layer of bricks can be removed to make the kiln 75mm deeper.  The bricks can be easily replaced without the need for cement etc. 

There is a Drop Out viewing hole with door, allowing you to inspect your Drop Outs during firing without opening the lid.
  
Controller:

The Hobbyfuser Gen4 Drop Out comes with the KCR32C Controller which is a multi-program controller targeted towards glass use with 32 programs each of up to 32 segments. Each segment is a controlled heating/cooling ramp followed by a soak. It is supplied pre-programmed with 9 typical glass programs (which can be over-written).

Optional WiFi Controller Upgrade: Monitor your kiln in real time, from anywhere in the world with an internet connection! The KCR32CWIFI is the same as the standard KCR32C, but with remote access to the Kilncare GATEway, enabling you to view the kiln status and temperature, review the program, create a library of firing schedules, view error faults and manually stop the firing if needed. Stand (Optional):

Available with or without castors, the optional Kilncare Hobbyfuser Gen4 Drop Out stand has two shelves, one for the kiln to sit on and one for your own use. It raises the kiln by 650mm to a comfortable working height.  It is made of steel and is powder coated in blue to match the kiln.  The stand is supplied ready for assembly.

This kiln has exactly the same build and high attention to detail as the hugely popular Kilncare Hobbyfuser Gen4 but has been designed in such a way that enables you to remove a level of bricks from the base to make the kiln 75mm deeper. Giving you the flexibility to use the Hobbyfuser Gen4 Drop Out kiln in the same way that you would the Hobbyfuser Gen4 for: glass fusing, glass slumping and casting with incredible efficiency, but also to make it deeper to master the art of fused glass 'Drop Outs'.  

This kiln also has the added benefit of a Drop Out viewing hole with door, so you can easily inspect your Drop Out visually during firing without opening the lid.

Building on the global success and powerful design of the Hobbyfuser 3, the Gen4 Drop Out edition retains the same impressive build. With the addition of the KCR32C controller, you can now boast an amazing 32 programmes (each with up to 32 segments), giving your creativity huge possibilities. This also allows you to upgrade the controller with the exciting WiFi option, where you can monitor and control your kiln from anywhere in the world with an internet connection! 

Delivery:

• Delivery is currently within 6-8 weeks.
• Delivery is kerbside only and does not include installation. Please consider that you may need help to situate the kiln.  The kiln will be delivered boxed on a pallet measuring 110cm x 169cm.
• Delivery is free to Mainland UK. Additional charges may apply if there is restricted access to property.

When your kiln is ready for delivery, we’ll contact you to book in a date that is convenient for you. Deliveries are Monday - Friday and someone will need to be available at the premises to take delivery of the kiln. We are unable to specify a delivery time until the morning of the scheduled delivery.

• Deliveries outside the UK: Delivery charges vary. We subsidise delivery costs where possible, however some destinations may require an extra delivery charge in addition to the one calculated at checkout. If this is the case, we'll contact you as soon as possible to agree this with you, before the kiln is dispatched.
