Product Information

You don't need much to add some eye-catching sparkle to your work, and we have found that 'less is more' as using silver flakes in larger amounts can encourage unwanted bubbles to form. Experiment with them and let us know how you get on!

Flake size: 3-5mm

Available in silver or gold.

Please note, this is not real silver!

Customers praised these silver flakes for adding sparkle and shine to glass fusing projects. They work best when used sparingly between glass layers with clear capping. Key advice: keep flakes away from edges to prevent sealing issues and avoid clumping to minimize bubbles. Customers noted great value for the quantity provided.

Very easy to use. I used a few sprinkled between 2 sheets of clear and clear and black and clear and white very effective. I also tried a few on top of the glass (despite previous reviews) they stick but feel a little rough to touch.

Love this stuff......fuse between glass but remember to keep it away from the edges or the glass wont seal properly

As a novice I made a few mistakes! Didn't realise had to be used between glass but I have lots of glass to practise on

Prefer 2mm to 3mm

I used the silver flakes between two layers of clear artista glass, and i went well, no bobles at all.

I also used it on top of the glass, and it also went well, even some of it did fell off

Very nice. after checking the reviews i used very few and it looks very good with very few bubbles. used over dark glass looks the best. Try using black glass with golden iridization and it looks beautiful.

I like them but like the other reviews these should be kept away from the edges. Reasonable price for a little sparkle

Completely cover and keep flakes well away from edges. Almost seems to repel glass and try to "crawl" out. Nice and sparkly under clear. Try pale transparent coloured capping (eg under grey gives a dull sparkle resembling steel).

These are great for a bit of extra sparkle. I've found that less is definitely more though, as bubbles can form where the flakes are clumped together. The tub is huge too, so great value. I also have a really sparkly work station after using :)

Great for adding sparkle. However, a couple of words of warning! They seem reluctant to bond with glass on a tac fuse...full fusing under a clear cap works well but don't spread too thick or too close to the edges as they will distort the glass. Overall they produce a dramatic effect so worth persevering. An inexpensive way to add bling :0)

We used these in the Fusing Foundation class last week, the silver flakes are very pretty and stay silvery on a full fuse...
