This colour is a soft purple shade and a favourite for jewellery. The hues of 'shift' colour change depending on the thickness and/or lighting of the piece.
Rods can be used in torchworking and kilnforming, and add an exciting difference to glass work! Drawn from compatible Bullseye glass, each rod is approximately 42cm long and 4-6mm in diameter.
Cold Characteristics:
Colour shifts between transparent icy blue and lavender depending on the light source. Beware, this style looks clear when viewed through didymium lenses.
Working Notes:
Torch: Use over oranges and reds to intensify brightness.
Kiln: Reflective optical effect along interface with other styles, which is most visible when paired with transparent styles such as clear or tints.
Other: Finished work will have the same colour shift properties as the glass in its un-worked, cold state. Not a striking glass. When fused over other colours, (e.g. red, orange), may tend to deepen or brighten them.
