Glass Cast 101 Premium Casting Plaster an economical, all-purpose mould material for kiln casting and glass slumping. It has very fine particles, providing the smoothest of surfaces.

This mould material has sufficient strength for most glass castings of small and medium size. It is ideal for open-face moulds and small moulds made using the lost wax process.

Can be mixed with Fibre Glass strands to create a jacket coat with more strength (see the Bullseye Box Casting information sheet for more information).

I've been using this for about 3 months, after using Hydracrist, and found it to be excellent in every way.

It mixes & pours easily leaving very little residue in the plastic jug which makes cleaning up a lot easier.

The detailing it picks up is superb especially if you use slightly more water for an initial slip, before the main pour. However it is also very easy to carve & smooth out all the mistakes I've made on the model!

I've also found it very resilient after burning out PLA models before loading with glass & re-firing, with no broken moulds so far, and some being fired 4 times to 860'C

Great stuff!

I always use this for my lost wax casting and it holds exquisite detail, I've never had a mould crack and devesting it can be done with a scrubbing brush; what more could you ask, excellent formula.
