Special features:
- The flat loading floor of this kiln is made from high-grade, lightweight insulation bricks that give both a structurally steady surface to place the work on and a thermally steady base to aid in maximum glass results.
- "Infra-red" quartz heating elements, designed for high performance and effective insulation.
- The stainless steel lid is lined out with press-cut, non-ceramic fibre. This eliminates the risk of brick dust particles dropping from the lid and onto your glass.
- A fast response thermocouple to avoid lag between the kiln temperature and the controller reading.
- Angled vent holes on the front and side of the kiln which are closed using spring-loaded flaps.
- Vent holes in the roof of the kiln to aid with faster cooling and help extract steam if any moisture is present.
- A stainless steel slatted roof allows for the kiln to cool easier.
- The kilns heavy-duty under-floor walk mesh provides strength, heat expansion without distortion, and enhanced cooling by allowing airflow beneath the kiln floor.
- Lockable swivel castors, 4 heavy-duty swivel castors, 2 on the back and 2 lockable castors on the front. This makes movement of the kiln much more simple.
- Optional Kilncare Electri-lift system, electric remote lid lift which makes the opening and closing of the kiln chamber a simple press of a button.
- The kiln can be split into 3 parts upon delivery: the base, chamber, and lid. This allows for the kiln to be taken through tighter spaces.
- A British company, on hand to offer great advice and post-customer care.
