This microcrystalline wax melts to a good, soft consistency and can be moulded by hand or carved with tools. It will arrive in small pellets which makes it much easier to weigh out.
If you require a harder wax you can mix it with green casting wax, or if you require a softer wax you can mix with the brown soft modelling wax to get the required consistency.
Melting wax must be done in a well-ventilated room. Once melted pour the wax all in one go into your mould, this can be a rubber silicone mould or plaster silica mould. Leave this to set, you can place the mould in a cold bucket of water for it to set quickly.
To remove the wax from the mould, we recommend steaming it out using a wallpaper steamer, the wax can be reused after being steamed out.
