Product Information

Discovering their possibilities. Experiment and Explore. Get a Reaction, try fusing samples of the Reactive Cloud Opal and Reactive Ice Clear sheets with Bullseye copper-bearing glasses, copper leaf, or silver leaf/silver foil. The results will not be so simple: Interface reactions may develop, ranging from subtle to dramatic, generally in an earthy, rustic colour palette.

Bullseye frit is made from crushed, screened and magnetically cleaned Bullseye Compatible sheet glass. Available in a huge variety of colours, frit gives the opportunity to add a unique element to your glass work.

Frits are extremely versatile and can be used in kilnforming, including 'glass sketch' and painting with light techniques, as well as in torch working and blowing, to create colours and patterns on surfaces.

Frits are available in a Powder, Fine, Medium, Coarse and Extra Coarse form.

Working Notes

This colourless clear has the potential to react with some copper-bearing glasses and silver leaf and foil.

Reactive Potential:
May react with, Copper and Silver

Cold Characteristics:
Similar appearance to (001101) except it may include a slight tint of colour (blue to green).

Working Notes:

Easily confused with Clear Transparent (001101). Reactive combinations have the potential to create an interface
colour, which may continue to develop through multiple firings. Copper-based reactions tend to be variations of deep red to black, while silver based reactions are more likely to develop as earth tones. Reactions are generally related to the amount of copper and silver content, heatwork and surface area contact

Fine and Medium frits usually appear lighter than their fired colour, even when the glass is not a striker. Coarse frits less so.

All our glass is COE90, Bullseye Glass compatible and suitable for applications such as glass fusing, glass casting and glass slumping (unless otherwise stated in the description).

Love this Frit

I have become a bit addicted to this frit. I love the finish of cracked glass it gives and the highlighting around colours. Sometimes quite dark and sometimes a red. I love not knowing how it will turn out, more than usual. It is a great addition to my projects. Highly recommend you have this in your workshop and try some experiments.

I just purchased this for my "reactive testing" and i have to say the results are absolutely stunning! I fused some turquoise blue with reactive ice and it gives an amazing red result. I truly recommend you to get some of this glass and experiment yourself. You wont regret it.
