This book is so helpful! I wanted my pieces to have that beautiful finished look that coldworking can give, but I can't afford to purchase the machinery. Now I can get beautiful results by hand.
I think the most helpful thing is the "Solution Reference" at the back of the book where he gives you a couple of different suggestions for coldworking each type of piece (inside of a bowl, rim, outside of bowl, etc).
If you're thinking of cold working your projects but aren't sure how to go about it, this is the book for you. I found it answered my questions, presented a variety of techniques and tools and provided clear instructions with good quality photographs
A brilliant book! I used to think cold working was really complicated and difficult but now I actually really enjoy the coldworking process almost as much as assembling the piece itself!
