Product Information

Rods can be used in torchworking and kilnforming, and add an exciting difference to glass work. Drawn from compatible Bullseye Glass, each rod is approximately 42cm long and 4-6mm in diameter.

This colour is a striker.

Working Notes

Contains:

Sulpher

May react with:

Copper, Lead, Silver

Cold Characteristics:

Pale transparent amber, similar to Orange Transparent Rod (1125) and Light Amber Transparent Rod (1437). May have a struck streak of yellow running lengthwise down the rod.

Working notes:

Torch: Yellow colour develops in the flame. Keep 1120 transparent by using it in small amounts with minimal heatwork, or consider adding it towards the end of the time in the flame.

Kiln: This style is not suitable for kilncasting because it can opalize and/or become incompatible when held at high temperatures for extended periods. It may also opalize and/or become incompatible in instances where processes exceed the parameters of the test for compatibility. Testing recommended when heatwork exceeds these parameters.

All our glass is COE90, Bullseye Glass compatible and suitable for applications such as glass fusing, glass casting and glass slumping (unless otherwise stated in the description).
