Product Information

Create lamps or curved objects which can stand upright on their own, using this semi-cylindrical mould.

Alternatively glue two identically slumped glass pieces together and add a base to create a deep vessel or vase.

Bullseye Code: 8726

All our moulds are designed for multiple use and with care should last for many firings.

Dimensions

Size: 35cm x 37cm, depth 11cm

Width of glass needed to drape fully round the mould: 40cm

Please note that all our moulds are hand-made and therefore the dimensions may vary slightly from those shown. Mould manufacturers allow a tolerance of up to 2cm. We strongly recommend cutting the glass to the size measured from the actual mould rather than relying solely on the dimensions shown.

After being tempted to buy this mould, it worried me that it might be too big to use in my kiln (a Paragon 16" clamshell) so I contacted Warm Glass customer support, who advised me that it would be fine, and it was! They suggested that I take out the kiln shelf and slow down the initial heat soak rate to 100C to be on the safe side. I used a left over 30 cm square 6 mm piece I had fused previously to try out the mould/kiln combination (which looks great) but I can see that to take advantage of the mould's size, using the full length of 40 cm would be better, giving more of a curve.
