Giving Back
We believe in doing what we can to help others thrive. We call this Giving Back.
"This project is quite personal to me as I helped set it up twenty-eight years ago. Since 1993, the charity has produced over 25,000 wheelchairs and continues to help people every day"

Why choose the Mekong Wheelchair Project?
As a team we wanted to help a charitable project as part of our ethos of giving back. We chose a project in Cambodia, which Simon and Pippa have both visited.
The Mekong Wheelchair Project manufactures and distributes 1000 appropriate wheelchairs a year to disabled people throughout Cambodia.
We pledged to raise awareness and raise funds to support the workshop and the wheelchair users it helps.
How did we raise funds and awareness?
In May 2019, several members of our Warm Glass team took part in the Great Bristol 10K Run - helping to raise awareness and funds for the brilliant cause.
Most of us were not natural runners, but it was a fantastic day and we're grateful to everyone who sponsored us.
See how we got on in our highlights video.
How much did we raise?
Through our crowdfunding page and other donations, we raised over £3000, enough to fund 24 locally made wheelchairs and help the ongoing workshop.
We'd like to thank our wonderful fused glass community, friends and family for the support you gave us.
With your support, we helped make a significant and positive impact on many people's lives in Cambodia.

We're delighted to see some of the wheelchair users that we have helped, and we're incredibly grateful to The Mekong Wheelchair Project for sharing these wonderful images.
What else are we doing to give back?
Our Impact
We provide an annual impact report, highlighting the ways we give back to our communities and look after the planet.
Creative Upcycling
We donated our used glass crates to the Incredible Edible project in Bristol. They converted them into planters for their urban garden projects.
Caring for the Planet
In 2018, alarmed by the David Attenborough Blue Planet II documentary, we dedicated ourselves to implementing new sustainable packaging.
