Product Information

Useful as a base or cover glass.

Using silver in your glass work? This glass is recommended for silver clay work and when using silver inclusions as there is less chance of a yellow appearance around the metal upon firing.

Bullseye frit is made from crushed, screened and magnetically cleaned Bullseye Compatible sheet glass. Available in a huge variety of colours, frit gives the opportunity to add a unique element to your glass work.

Frits are extremely versatile and can be used in kilnforming, including 'glass sketch' and painting with light techniques, as well as in torch working and blowing, to create colours and patterns on surfaces.

Frits are available in a Powder, Fine, Medium, Coarse and Extra Coarse form.

Working Notes

Cold characteristics:

Brilliant colourless clear.

Working notes:

When fired over coloured glass, allows more pure, true hue of base colour to show. Especially true in thicker sections.

Fine and Medium frits usually appear lighter than their fired colour, even when the glass is not a striker. Coarse frits less so.

All our glass is COE90, Bullseye Glass compatible and suitable for applications such as glass fusing, glass casting and glass slumping (unless otherwise stated in the description).

Doesn't fire clear it's almost white, ruined the piece I used it on.

WARM GLASS REPLY: All glass powders will fire opaque unless layered very thinly, due to air being trapped between the grains. Layer no more than 2 grains thick before firepolishing if using to remove devitrification.

Arrived very quickly and well packaged.

Very easy to use and does what it says on the tin, so to speak.

I bought this to put a thin barrier layer over mica powder, so that it could sit in top of glass instead of having to go between layers. It worked really well and I'm very pleased. Would happily buy again.
