Product Information

Bullseye frit is made from crushed, screened and magnetically cleaned Bullseye Compatible sheet glass. Available in a huge variety of colours, frit gives the opportunity to add a unique element to your glass work.

Frits are extremely versatile and can be used in kilnforming, including 'glass sketch' and painting with light techniques, as well as in torch working and blowing, to create colours and patterns on surfaces.

Frits are available in a Powder, Fine, Medium, Coarse and Extra Coarse form.

Working Notes

Cold characteristics:

This style may not reveal (or strike to) its target colour until fired.

Slight variation within blue to yellow range.

Working notes:

Stable. No colour shift.

Fine and Medium frits usually appear lighter than their fired colour, even when the glass is not a striker. Coarse frits less so.

All our glass is COE90, Bullseye Glass compatible and suitable for applications such as glass fusing, glass casting and glass slumping (unless otherwise stated in the description).

This is so good, you can make really interesting pieces. Uncapped the steel colour is very attractive but be aware like any metal it shows finger marks. When covered with clear frit you can achieve lovely blue/metallic splatters and or patterns. Its worth a go.

Beware, if tack fused and left uncapped it becomes grey shiny steel with no hint of blue. The reverse against the glass is still beautiful blue as illustrated. Use with control and planning.

This is one of my favourite glass products as Frit and sheet. I love the metallic effect when tack fused and left uncovered. It always makes me smile!
