Product Information

Bullseye opalescent sheet glass has an assertiveness and complexity of colour that isn’t matched anywhere. These sheets, when held to light, respond with a fascinating array of complementary hues - like an opal.

Selenium, Sulphur Cold Characteristics Consistent colour.

Working Notes:

This glass can be unstable when subjected to extended
heatwork (pattern bars, pot melts, boiled effect, kilncasting, etc.).

Firing above 1500°F (815°C) for more than 15 minutes or
firing slowly between 1250°F (677°C) and 1500°F (815°C) may result in an
unstable glass. More susceptible to contaminants that seed devitrification than
other glasses in the Bullseye line.

Cap with clear or plan to treat the surface (sandblast,
coldwork, or apply clear powder and refire) after firing. No colour shift upon
firing. A dark interface reaction is possible with sulphur-bearing glasses
(001137, 000137). Dense White Powder (000313-0008F) is recommended for surface
use only. It may crackle when used between sheet glass layers.

All our glass is COE90, Bullseye Glass compatible and
suitable for applications such as glass fusing, glass casting and glass
slumping (unless otherwise stated in the description).

I've really enjoyed the reaction of adding small pieces of french vanilla 2mm sheet and frit to a 3mm sheet of dense white. It's transformed a very simple design.

Great item, I prefer a denser white.

This is really wonderful to use with french vanilla for its weird reactive properties... Google it for more info!
