The first project, a simple marsh landscape called Meandering Light, introduces a simple powder technique. The two other complete landscape projects, First Light and Distant Light, each present different challenges. The book details their design and construction process step-by step and explains the techniques adapted to meet all of those challenges.

For all three projects, the book includes detailed illustrations, step-by-step instructions and samples of other pieces created in the same manner but with small changes to the images and palettes.

The book is suitable for all levels of experience and will help the beginner grow while challenging the more experienced glass artist.

I purchased this ebook as I find it difficult to attend courses as I live on the Isle of Wight and wished to improve and increase my skills to try to make new art. It fulfilled these expectations for £18! The instructions are very clear and step by step with photos each step. The firing schedules are given in centigrade as well as farenheit which is helpful. I successfully made all 3 projects and although not as perfect as I would like I can see how can tweek things to improve and adjust firing to get the look I like in my kiln. I feel I can now go on to try make new Island landscapes using these techniques. You will probably need a few extra materials to enable you to do the course which are available from Warm Glass. Give it a go!
