What is the best option for base without joins/shelves for firing large pieces. Is there a silica Sand option. I have used ceraboard but wanted a another option.

The best thing to do is to but the shelves together as close as possible then cover with 3mm fibre paper, and top this with thinfire paper for a smooth flat finish.
