The Eco-fuser utilises Kilncare 2022 GX Insulation System and will complete a standard full fuse using as little as 4 units of electricity.

Elements:

The Eco-Fuser uses the Quartz Element Heating System, this is in the roof only and utilises the latest technology ‘infra-fed’ quartz tube heating elements. This method is extremely hard wearing and strong, yet in the event of an element failure the tubes are both easy and cheap to replace. The elements are switched off when the lid is opened by an automatic safety switch.

Lid:

The kiln lid is made from stainless steel and lined out with non-ceramic fibre. This method of insulation removes the risk of brick dust or particles dropping onto the glass, so making for a very clean firing environment. It also makes the Eco-Fuser incredibly resistant to shock damage. The capability of the Eco-Fuser is due to the ‘super’ backing insulation that makes the kiln ultra-efficient and allows such a large capacity to be fired using so little power.

Twin Gas Spring Lid Assist:

Lifting the lid on the Eco-Fuser is aided by a pair of specially designed gas springs that allow opening and closing of the lid to be a single finger operation. This makes the kiln completely user friendly but also helps in prolonged life due to the reduction of shock through ‘heavy’ opening and closing of the lid.

Angled Vent Hole:

The front of the kiln has a large vent/peep hole which is closed using a spring assisted flap which houses Kilncare’s unique, anti-dust insulation pad which is taken from the larger fusing kiln models. The vent/peep hole is angled so that the floor of the kiln and more importantly, your glass, can be seen.

Flat Loading Floor:

The base of the Eco-Fuser differs from the Hobbyfuser and brings the kiln in line with its big brother the Cub-Fuser. The floor is flat with the entirety of the height of the kiln being in the chamber, which lifts out of the way when loading, this type of floor is preferred by many glass artists. The floor is low density, high insulation refractory bricks and can have the internal shelf kit placed onto it.

Controller:

The Eco-Fuser comes with the KCR32C Controller which is a multi-program controller targeted towards glass use with 32 programs each up to 32 segments. Each segment is a controlled heating/cooling ramp followed by a soak. It is supplied pre-programmed with 9 typical glass programs (which can be over-written). The slow rate capability of the KCR32C, down to 1c per hour, makes it the perfect controller for complicated glass cycles.

Stand (Optional):

Available with or without castors, the optional Kilncare Hobbyfuser stand has two shelves, one for the kiln to sit on and one for your own use. It raises the kiln by 650mm to a comfortable working height.  It is made of steel and is powder coated in blue to match the kiln.  The stand is supplied ready for assembly.

• Delivery is kerbside only and does not include installation. Please consider that you may need help to situate the kiln.  The kiln will be delivered boxed on a pallet measuring 110cm x 94cm.
• Delivery is free to Mainland UK. Additional charges may apply if there is restricted access to property.

When your kiln is ready for delivery, we’ll contact you to book in a date that is convenient for you. Deliveries are Monday - Friday and someone will need to be available at the premises to take delivery of the kiln. We are unable to specify a delivery time until the morning of the scheduled delivery.

• Deliveries outside the UK: Delivery charges vary. We subsidise delivery costs where possible, however some destinations may require an extra delivery charge in addition to the one calculated at checkout. If this is the case, we'll contact you as soon as possible to agree this with you, before the kiln is dispatched.
