Your questions answered:

• Q: What is VAT?

  A: Value Added Tax (VAT, MOMS, ALV, TVA) is the tax that all people pay when they buy goods.

• Q: Do I need to pay VAT to Warm Glass?

  A: You will no longer pay VAT at the Warm Glass checkout.

  Our customers from the EU have always paid VAT on Warm Glass orders. However, from 1st January 2021, VAT will not be charged by Warm Glass customers who log in from EU countries. Your local VAT will be charged by the courier before the order is delivered.

• Q: What is Duty?

  A: Customs Duty is a tarriff or tax imposed on goods when transported across international borders.

• Q: Will I need to pay Duty?

  A: All products with 'UK Country of Origin' will be duty-free - including Bullseye Sheet Glass*, Frits & Powders!

  Many of products are duty-free, but there are certain products that will incur duty payments. This will be calculated alongside tax (VAT) by our courier, and you'll be notified for payment when your order is on the way.

  We've been working closely with HMRC to ensure that most of our range can be classed as 'UK Country of Origin'. Read our handy guide to see which products are duty free.

• Q: How will I place my order?

  A:  Place your order as normal and this will be exempt from UK VAT. This will happen automatically at checkout. When your order is on the way, the courier will notify you by text or email to make your local VAT payments, handling charge, and duty if required. 

  Your Warm Glass order will then be delivered.

Please note: We're currently unable to accept orders over 30kg due to EU delivery restrictions - we hope this is resolved as soon as possible.
